How JoomFuse determines the Joomla Username and Password

When JoomFuse creates a new user in Joomla because of an HTTP Post from Infusionsoft, it will:
  1. Use the values in the Username and Password fields in Infusionsoft as the username and password respectively for the new Joomla User, if they are available.
  2. If there is nothing in the Infusionsoft Username field, JoomFuse will use the value in the Infusionsoft Email field as the username (and put that in the Infusionsoft Username field if you set "Store changed login credentials in IFS" to Yes).
  3. If there is nothing in the Infusionsoft Password field, JoomFuse will generate a random password for the Joomla User (and put that in the Infusionsoft Username field if you set "Store changed login credentials in IFS" to Yes).
NOTE: Setting "Store changed login credentials in IFS" to YES ONLY applies to the initial user creation in Joomla.

If you want the username and password updated in Infusionsoft whenever they are changed in Joomla, you must map the Username and Password fields under the "Joomla Field Maps" tab to the Infusionsoft Username and Password fields respectively.

Remember, Joomla requires that both email and username be unique for each Joomla user. If another user has the same email, there is not much that JoomFuse can do, and it will return an error email. However, if the username has already been taken, then JoomFuse will add 3 random digits to the end of the name to make it unique. The new username will be sent back to Infusionsoft based on the settings outlined above.
