First question, did you upgrade to the latest version of JoomFuse? We made some changes to how JoomFuse handles UTF-8 characters (that includes characters with accents).

I tested an email with two dots and it worked fine on my test system.

I'll do some more tests....please let me know what version of JoomFuse you are running.

Regards,
Dom

Also, that error message did not come from JoomFuse, but from the campaign that processes new members.

JoomFuse had a problem processing the user and triggered the Failure API goal. The campaign created a task for you with that subject.

The latest version of JoomFuse is 2.2.246 release July 6th. For JF Portal, it is 1.2.246.

We sent out an announcement about it. Plus we also list the most current versions in each announcement, so you can always easily check to see if you have the latest.

Try installing 2.2.246 of JoomFuse and see if that resolves your issue.

Some other things to think about, make sure that the new user that failed is not using the same email as another user. Joomla requires unique emails, a Joomla requirement. And the email cannot have accented characters in it. I also do not think that Joomla allows accented characters in the username, but I have not tested that.

Dom
