AutoGenerate username ( email) and Password

Recently we decided to offer free membership and used predefined registration form ( webform)
this form is asking for
First Name
Last Name
Email
Cell

Then optional
Username
Password

After making some research for securing username and password I was informed that is not really advisable to ask for username and password while using infusionsoft forms.

Can jomfuse automatically generate the password ?
I believe we already setup to have email to be used as joomla username ?

As you have figured out, when JoomFuse creates a new user in Joomla because of an HTTP Post from Infusionsoft, it will:
  1. Use the values in the Username and Password fields in Infusionsoft as the username and password respectively for the new Joomla User, if they are available.
  2. If there is nothing in the Infusionsoft Username field, JoomFuse will use the value in the Infusionsoft Email field as the username (and put that in the Infusionsoft Username field if you set "Store changed login credentials in IFS" to Yes).
  3. If there is nothing in the Infusionsoft Password field, JoomFuse will generate a random password for the Joomla User (and put that in the Infusionsoft Username field if you set "Store changed login credentials in IFS" to Yes).
  4. Setting "Store changed login credentials in IFS" to YES ONLY applies to the initial user creation in Joomla. If you want the username and password updated in Infusionsoft whenever they are changed in Joomla, you must map the Username and Password fields under the "Joomla Field Maps" tab

Hope this helps,
Dom
