Dom,

We are having trouble with joomfuse syncing our customer, Nina Carpenter, IFS tags with her accesses in joomla. She has many purchase tags in IFS but when I repost the joomfuse call, the result is that she still shows as just "registered" in Joomla. In general the sync is working fine, but for this customer it is not. I would appreciate if you could fix what was wrong.

Matt,

Turns out there are two issues with Nina. First, the contact ID that JoomFuse has for her is a nonexistent contact ID in Infusionsoft. That means that her contact record was either deleted and recreated or she had multiple contact records and her contact records were merged after she JoomFuse created her user in Joomla. Hence JoomFuse cannot sync her information.

Second, her current contact record in Infusionsoft has no credit card, or order information. Unless you manually gave her the products, you may want to look into that.

As far as the first issue goes, I will install a new version of JoomFuse that we are releasing this week. This version has a button to re-associate Joomla users with Infusionsoft contacts. It makes dealing with this type issue easier to deal with. I'll let you know when it is available on your site.

Hi Matt,

I have installed the new version of JoomFuse and re-associated Nina to her current contact record. I then did a manual post to JoomFuse to update all her user groups.

She should be set.

BTW - your Joomla is out of date as are 13 extensions. The latest update to Joomla was a security update and really needs to be brought to the current version to protect your site from the vulnerability that was closed.

You're welcome.

When you, for whatever reason, change the contact's Contact ID in Infusionsoft of a user in Joomla already associated to the contact, you have to re-associate them. This was more difficult before this new release, but always had to be done.

Also, did you see my note about updating your Joomla version and several extensions?

A few questions.

1. For other customers having this same issue, do we re-associate in Infusionsoft or in Joomla? Either way, I need a process on how to do it. Is it just a repost of the joomfuse call to joomla or is it more complicated?
2. Is this something that needs to be checked every time we do a merge contacts? Is it something that we need to worry about for the thousands of merged contacts we have done in the past? I am concerned if this isn't a automated process that we would not be able to identify any issues that have happened in the past when we did a merge contacts activity.
3. Going forward, what is the step or steps we need to add when we do a merge contact, either individually or using the mass merge function in IFS?
